Overview

The overview area to left shows the selected particle system and all its emitters and anchors. Note that unknown and irrelevant GameObjects are skipped, i.e. the overview shows the hierarchy as seen by the particle system. You can mute elements (including their children) by using the Mute/Unmute button next to each element

Toolbar

The buttons from left to right:

Close closes the editor window

The first three Play/Stop/Halt buttons control the whole particle system

The second Play/Stop/Halt buttons control the currently selected emitter. Note that the particle system must be playing, otherwise playing single emitters won't have an effect.

Use the Synchronize button to refresh the editor. This is particularly useful when you delete or move Magical Box objects in the hierarchy window or after adding prefabbed emitters.

The two Gizmos controls can be used to toggle gizmos visibility for all Magical Box components both globally and selected. These settings are stored in EditorPrefs and will be kept between sessions.

When selecting items in the overview and Auto-Selection is checked, the hierarchy window will be synchronized. This setting is stored in EditorPrefs and will be kept between sessions.

Slow motion let's you slow down time. This is in particular useful while debugging emitters.

Update interval determines how fast (in seconds) the editor window will refresh. Particularly the Timing and Statistics sections can have a major impact on your framerate as they update every frame, so you might want to increase this value depending on your box' performance. This setting is stored in EditorPrefs and will be kept between sessions.
